Lazenby Precast have been producing cast stone products for over 25 years. Our purpose built factory allows for the production of standard or bespoke units in a variety of colours. Along with our building product range we are able to offer a diversity of items including Balustrading and Porticos.

Cast Stone
Cast Stone is comparable to natural stone as a building material in both appearance and performance. It is durable and long lasting and provides a cost effective alternative on projects from simple domestic housing to complicated commercial projects.

General Specification
Lazenby’s cast stone products are manufactured from high grade sand and selected limestone aggregates. All raw materials meet the recognised industry standards. All cast stone products comply with relevant British standards (B.S 1217 :1997). and are aimed at meeting all standards set by the United Kingdom Cast Stone Association. (UKCSA) manufacturing standard.

Compressive strength 35 N/mm (35Mpa)
Capillary absorption test. As UKCSA Spec.
Flatness of plane Max 0.3 % dimension or +/-2mm.

Handling
The safe handling of cast stone is essential in order to ensure that they remain undamaged. All Items over the recognised manual maximum lift weight are clearly marked. Lifting attachments can be cast in to help with mechanical lifting.

Weathering/Efflorescance
Cast stone will weather in a similar manner to natural stone. Efflorescence is a naturally occurring phenomenon that may appear as a white deposit or bloom, covering all or part of the surface. This will disappear naturally however can be removed with a proprietary acid washing agent. Prior to using this method please contact our technical department.
